Turning Stone Enterprises (formerly Oneida Nation Enterprises) is an economic engine for Upstate New York and one of the region’s top employers. Owned and operated by the Oneida Indian Nation, today our diverse portfolio includes hospitality, gaming, recreation, retail and service brands, each built on high quality standards and exceptional experiences.
Our roots in the region run deep, and have steadily grown Turning Stone Enterprises from the seed of a small business to a thriving – and growing – organization.
An economic impact analysis from Oxford Economics, one of the world’s foremost independent global advisory firms, reported that in 2022 alone, Turning Stone Enterprises generated more than $1 billion economic impact within the region and annually supported more than 7,000 jobs, including the Nation’s 4,500 team members. Recent capital expansions have included The Cove at Sylvan Beach, The Villages at Stoney Creek employer-sponsored housing, Verona Collective’s 50,000 square-foot cannabis facility, Wáhta’ Maple Farm and the Oneida Indian Nation’s new community center.
Our growth continues, with a $370 million capital investment underway at our flagship property, Turning Stone Resort Casino – the fifth largest tourist attraction in New York and the state’s most awarded resort. More than an expansion, this reinvestment will be a complete evolution with a new conference center, outdoor event spaces, hotel and more to fully reimagine Turning Stone for generations to come.
Already one of the largest employers in Central New York, this two-year project will generate a $616 million one-time economic impact, create 3,600 one-time jobs and contribute $22.1 million in state and local tax revenues.
